Video: Trash Art

Two New York artists recycle discarded material to create art. Philip Kobel uses items like coffee stirrers and popsicle sticks to build miniature landscapes, while Kevin Mahoney uses damaged steel from Hurricane Sandy to design cutouts in the shape of Staten Island. Each artist’s philosophy differs, but they both transform forgotten items into beautiful creations.
